Amanda Ferber, an undergraduate student in Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University, is working with Meghana Karthic on developing a mobile app named Peerflight. By establishing a peer relationship with someone who has also faced OUD, individuals can gain accountability in achieving their goals, regardless of their desired recovery outcome. Once paired, peers can use Peerflight for video and text-based check-ins, collaborative goal setting, progress reporting, and opportunities to offer or receive intentional praise. The app aims to put recovery navigation in the hands of people living with OUD when and where they need it.
