Dr. Dilara K. Üsküp is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, and an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Üsküp works at the intersection of race, substance, and social justice. She is interested in the impact of the War on Drugs on Black and Brown communities. Discrimination experienced during substance use disorder treatment leads to disparate treatment outcomes between populations of color and their White counterparts.
