Ethan Anderson
Ethan Anderson is an Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University whose research investigates the biological mechanisms underlying addiction and identifies novel targets for pharmacological treatment. His work has examined the role of G9a/EHMT2 histone methyltransferase in addiction-related behaviors, with preclinical findings suggesting that inhibiting this target may reduce behaviors associated with heroin, cocaine, and alcohol use. Building on these findings, he is pursuing the development and characterization of novel therapeutic compounds with the potential to address multiple substance use disorders and ultimately advance from preclinical development toward human testing.
