Jason Chladek
Jason Chladek is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Admnistration and Public Health in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at St. John’s University. He received a PhD in Health Services Research in Pharmacy and Doctoral Minor in Law from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a PharmD from Concordia University Wisconsin, and an MPH in Medication Safety and Pharmacovigilance from Concordia University Nebraska. Dr. Chladek also completed a T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Populations Health Science Scholars Program at New York University Grossman School of Medicine.
As a health services researcher, Dr. Chladek’s goal is to improve medication access, use, and safety for populations with complex needs by utilizing pharmacists and pharmacy services. His work has primarily centered on those impacted by substance use disorders and the criminal legal system. He has also contributed to research on older adults and individuals in oncology settings.
To support his goal, Dr. Chladek’s work includes using interdisciplinary and community-engaged approaches to identify medication-related gaps and develop effective interventions. He is also focused on leveraging implementation science principles to support the uptake of evidence-based interventions and policies, with a special focus on how laws impact implementation outcomes. Across all areas of his work, he is passionate about advocating for patients and driving meaningful, sustainable change.
