Mariana Stavig

Mariana Stavig is a Clinical Research Specialist in Health and Wellness Design at the Indiana University School of Public Health whose work focuses on supporting long-term recovery from substance use disorders. She is developing a personalized digital recovery platform that moves beyond abstinence tracking to help individuals recognize progress in areas such as health, sleep, connection, purpose, and self-trust. Her approach also considers biological and life-stage factors that may uniquely affect women and people with female biology during recovery. Her work aims to strengthen self-efficacy, recovery engagement, and continuity while providing accessible support for individuals who may face geographic, caregiving, or other barriers to recovery resources.
