Yi He
Yi He is an Associate Professor and Associate Director (CCC) at the University of New Mexico whose research focuses on developing novel treatments for stimulant use disorder. His work targets biological mechanisms involved in drug-induced changes in the brain that contribute to craving and relapse. His team is developing a first-in-class therapeutic candidate aimed at a protein target that has traditionally been difficult to address with conventional drugs, supported by a proprietary AI- and physics-based drug discovery platform. His research seeks to translate advances in computational drug design and addiction biology into a non-addictive pharmacological treatment for cocaine and methamphetamine use disorders, with potential applications to other substance use disorders.
